Superset Consulting Requirements
A major financial services company sought to replace an industry-leading BI solution in one of its key products with an open-source system (Superset) to achieve significant savings on license costs.
Deliverables
NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to fully understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on these insights, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project.
Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the reporting needs for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended changes to the data stores to enable optimal use of Superset while ensuring peak performance, and provided guidance to the team implementing these adjustments.
After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers.
Custom plug-ins were created to present the data as requested, allowing for more interactive data presentation (e.g., drill-down features).
Outcome
The consultants have been building new dashboards and ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer organization to maintain the dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer’s business and their end clients. To underscore the success of the project, it has been expanded to include more products and end clients.
